Anna University is a state-level university that is recognised by the UGC and is credited with an “A” Grade by the NAAC. It is moreover a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). In 2020, the University was ranked on 14 for Engineering by the NIRF. Established in 1978, the University at present offers over 50 Under Graduate, Post Graduate and doctorate programme across its eight faculties and over 100 degree & diploma courses via its 500 affiliated colleges.
